note:this was a post i made on another thread but i felt it was off topic so i giving it it's own thread.. someone(who i can't remember) on a thread(which i can't remember) said the tower of babel story is proven false because some languages evolved from others and thus that was another strike against the bible as being fiction.

however this person doesn't realize that there are languages on this earth that has absolutely no relation whatsoever such as chinese-english, spanish-arabic, greek-xhosa, etc.

not to mention all of the ancient languages that are now extinct due to invading countries forcing their own language on other countries.

They stop using common sense just so they can nip pick at any and everything in the Bible no matter how unfounded the attack is.

I say go for it. Ten years might not be too much difference. My daughter is seven years younger than her husband and they are perfectly matched. They've had many obstacles to overcome, but the age difference hasn't been one of them. I myself am of the age is irrelevant school of thought.

You won't ever know unless you try, so just do it.

Oh and about the double standard, my SIL's best friend loves older women, he is 24 and likes women well into their 40s, possibly older.

He got to meet Cindi Lauper and got a kiss- he was in heaven for weeks after that. Says that it's good to be open to people with experience.

No. I didn't vote in the last election, but I will in the future.

I would fly a flag, but my JW husband would flip his liver if I did and I'm putting aside that battle for more important things right now.

Typically How Much $$$ Do You Spend Going Out To Eat Each Week?

i don't cook so i usually eat one meal a day out.

i pobably spend a couple of hundred a week with food an d drink.

We spend too much in restaurants, about $70 a week for the 4 of us. We do tend to look for two-fer deals or other discounts.

I love to cook, but our schedule often gets so hectic that at 9:00 PM we are starving and we end up at a restaurant anyway.

Applebees has a nice deal for 2. You get two full sized entrees and an appetizer to share for $20.
